FIX UPS FINISHED FOR “MY SEARCH FOR CHESS PERFECTION”

Not everything, just getting all the “right files” in the right ordered sequence (I had so many extras this was more difficult than you might’ve thought, certainly harder than I had thought!). Been working on that since Thursday 3-4 days worth.

Then the Proofreader corrections will go in. Little corrections, smoother writing, etc. Hours and hours of stuff. I believe all files have been found and sent to us by courageous Purdy fan Martin Stafford who hails from New Zealand. Thanks to you Martin.

Not only will this be a marvelous addition (and edition), some other Purdy files will be added which were found by co-author Robert Jamieson after Purdy’s passing.

AND, some photos which haven’t been seen before or in ages! One was found by Robert Jamieson in a non-chess magazine but of Purdy at the chess board. We “might” even have a picture of Purdy in color on the back cover of the NEW edition.

Lots of things planned. It may run 450-500 pages. Have a lot of stuff to sort so we don’t know everything yet.

But, I think you will RAVE just like Buddy Holly.

PS: Come to the MORPHY THEMED CHESS FESTIVAL IN OCTOBER (23-24). $200. GM Simon Williams, IM Andrew Martin, FM Macon Shibut. Expect surprises which will be ONLY at the Festival. Non-stop working until then.

    • Thank you Greg, I am looking forward to getting it out there. I think it “might” be called something like, “My Search for Chess Perfection continued…”
By the way Greg, that extra copy of SEARCH you sent me came in handy when I misplaced the ONE copy I had. Thanks…
